Sunflower Holistic Therapies salon is situated in the lovely small town of Sierra de Yeguas, which is surrounded by beautiful gently rolling countryside rich in olive groves and almond trees (and for just a few weeks in the year, many acres of sunflowers). It is just over an hour drive from Malaga Airport and is well placed for visiting the larger surrounding towns of Seville, Granada and Cordoba (all around 70 miles away) The town gets its name from the tiny three-mountain range bearing the same name which overlooks the town (Sierra means "saw", describing the jagged shape the range has), it also gives its name to the Yeguas river, which slugs (accurate description) its way around the outskirts of the town.

There are some interesting places to visit in the area, including the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra (the Flamingo Lake), where thousands of breeding pairs of Flamingoes come each year, leaving many behind to mature;
and El Refugio del Burrito, the Elizabeth Svendsen Donkey Sanctuary, where unwanted and ill treated donkeys and mules are loved and cared for. Both places are well worth a visit.

From Malaga Airport (AGP)

• Follow the signs out of the airport towards Malaga.
• When you are out of the airport cross the first roundabout straight on and take the left hand lane.
• You are now looking for and following signs for Motril.
• Over the flyover and around onto the motorway, still looking for and following "Motril"
• You will come to an exit right for Motril which will take you over another flyover onto another motorway.
• Carry on until you exit right for Antequera onto the A45.
• Follow the A45 until you bear left onto the A92 towards Seville and Antequera.
• Follow this motorway until you see a sign for Fuente de Piedra. Leave the motorway here.
• Exit right and follow the road around to the right, back over the motorway.
• After 2-300 metres you will reach a crossroads.(STOP sign) Go straight on and straight through Fuente de Piedra.
• Keep going, over the railway bridge, past the Flamingo Lake and around some bendy windy roads.
• Eventually you will come to a roundabout. This is Sierra de Yeguas.
• Take the first exit, right.
• After about 50 metres turn left into a service road.
• Follow this road down to the bottom.
• Take the last road on the left. Calle Seguidillas.
• We are the last but one house on the right hand side, number 3.

From Seville

• Follow all signs to Granada.
• When you reach the exit for Fuente de Piedra, exit right.
• After about 2-300 metres you will come to a crossroads. (STOP sign)
• Follow the directions above.

From Granada

• Follow all signs to Seville.
• Follow this motorway until you see a sign for Fuente de Piedra. Leave the motorway here.
• Exit right and follow the road around to the right, back over the motorway.
• After 2-300 metres you will reach a crossroads.(STOP sign) Go straight on and straight through Fuente de Piedra.
• Follow the directions above.
